MINUTES OF RICHARDS CASTLE (SHROP) PARISH COUNCIL EXTRAORDINARY MEETING HELD AT 7.30PM ON TUESDAY 19 JUNE 2018 AT THE VILLAGE HALL
PRESENT Cllr. H Salwey (Chairman); Cllr. A Cowell; and Cllr. A Hall.
IN ATTENDANCE Shropshire Cllr. V Parry; and R Hewitt, Clerk. Three members of the public were present.
18/39 Apologies – Cllr. D Ayres (Vice Chairman); Cllr. C Giles; Cllr. A Wright; and Cllr. R Smith.
18/40 Declarations of Members Interest and requests for Dispensation – None.
18/41 To invite views and discussion from members of the parish – Members of the public from the adjoining parish spoke against planning application on the grounds of highway safety. Shropshire Cllr. Parry spoke against the application as well.
18/02439/REM Wyson Lane, Woofferton – Approval of Reserved Matters (landscaping) pursuant of Planning Permission 15/02324/OUT for the construction of road to provide vehicular access from A49 to serve residential development of up to 34 dwellings on land off Wyson Lane, Wooferton. (Cross boundary application) (Revised scheme).
The following comment was agreed: Richards Castle Parish Council is concerned the landscaping proposed is able to provide the visibility required on this acknowledged dangerous stretch of the A49.
18/43 Highway Items/ Amenity Items/ Footpath Items
a) Strimming of visibility splays in the parish: It was noted that the verges are likely to be cut shortly by the highways authority. The meeting asked Hitrees to strim the visibility splays on Wheatcommon Lane on the junction with the B4361.
b) To report Highway / Amenity and Footpath items: None.
