MINUTES OF RICHARDS CASTLE (SHROPSHIRE) PARISH COUNCIL EXTRAORDINARY MEETING HELD AT 6 PM ON TUESDAY 29 JUNE 2021
PRESENT: Cllr. H Salwey (Chairman); Cllr. D Ayres (Vice Chairman); Cllr. A Wright; and Cllr. R Smith.
IN ATTENDANCE: Mr R Hewitt, Clerk. There were no members of the public present.

21/33 Ward Councillor Report – Ward Cllr. Parry sent her apologies.
21/34 Financial items
a) Annual Governance Statement – Approved.
b) Accounting Statement 2020-21 – Approved.
c) The following payments were approved: K Adams, internal audit (£68.00); Clerk, wages April-June 2021 (£421.69); and HMRC, PAYE to 5 July 2021 (£105.20).
21/35 Highway Items/ Amenity Items/ Footpath Items
The Clerk said the highway mirror at Policeman’s Corner, which is obscured by the nearby hedge, has been reported to the highway authority and an email received to “advise that this work is included within [their] future programme of work”. A reported sink hole at Overton has been reported as well and will be raised with the Ward Cllr.
Cllr. Wright said the raised culvert by the Travelodge entrance is now at ground level. The outstanding issue is to connect the system, and this has been acknowledged by the highway authority and placed on a list to undertake in due course.
